I was in a limited order to buy the 17.5 put on Citi at 5:00 o'clock, after the market was closed. The price listed was .68. So I put my order in for 5 contracts (buy to open), and since the market was closed, it went into my current order page, to be submitted to the start of the next days trading. Standard enough
I check back at 9:00 am, and in after hours trading, Citi plummeted more than 2 points. Basically, it was what I thought it would be, but in after hours trading.
Looking at the options chart, the options were unchanged at .68, because the options market was closed while this was in the market.
Now, come Monday, C will open at (or near) it; s new lower price based on Friday; s after hours trading. When the stock Was at 19.8-ish, my 17.5 could cost .68, When the stock opens at 17 something, my 17.5 is able goin to cost way more than that (qui est the appreciation I Was try trying to capture in all this)
So Come Monday, what will happen? Will the option prices be open to different prices? They would have closed the door, but they would not cancel it (yeah, I know) and I might get the options at the listed price on Friday?
Any help will be apprecited.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
